Ankle Sprains

Ankle sprains commonly occur when the ankle is rolled inwards, tearing the ligaments & tendons on the outside of the ankle in the process. This leads to instability of the ankle and further risk of ankle sprains and other injuries. Ankle sprains are common in dancers, netballers, contact sports

and in those who work on uneven surfaces such as construction sites.
Our team will navigate you through your rehabilitation following an ankle sprain, starting from the acute management stage. Before returning to the pre-injury activity/sport, it is important that full ankle range of movement, strength and propriocepton are regained. We will guide you through a functional training program and also protective taping/bracing where nessesary.
